New replacement for Michelin PSS just released

Made it's debut at the Paris Auto Show. Apparently outperforms the PSS in every measurable test and is longer-wearing, upwards of 30K miles.

This Is the Replacement for the Mighty Michelin Pilot Super Sport

And velvetty sidewalls too! Interested to see the cost on these vs. the PSS. Nice to hear they're not standing pat when ruling the roost.

Isn't the PSS claim 30k or 15k with staggered sizes?

My rear PSS are getting thin. Sadly, I don't think I can put off replacing them until March

If this means a reduction in price for the PSS, I'm all for it. That tire is damn good either way.

Really excited to see these coming! Amazing how they can improve on an already excellent tire.

I'm just hoping my OEM Bridgestones make it to March. I'm not so sure they will.

PSS issues

I've had trouble with my PSS. I had a rear tire blowout on the highway with no warning. It was new enough to have a pro-rated replacement. I recently replaced two front tires that were near their end of life but were tram-lining so bad it was tricky driving my car. I ended up with the AS3 which may not provide the grip as the PSS but I feel safer in the car.

Are the PSS's still considered to be the best max performance summer tire?

I think so.

Nothing matches the PSS for dry and wet handling, noise, mileage and price. Anything "better" is only going to be so in dry handling.
