225/45 tires on 19x8.5 rims?

I was washing the car yesterday and noticed a label on the Yokohama Advan tires that read "WARNING: Do not install on 8.5 inch wheel".

I have a 2013 G37xS with the 19x8.5 wheels. I bought the car CPO from a dealer back in November. Part of the deal was for them to replace the tires on the car.

Do I have cause for concern?

If the people whom make the tire feel required to put a warning not to do something, I would be concerned.

I have never seen such a warning on a tire, I'd like to see a picture though just so I know what it looks like from now on.

Checked Yokos site and for the Advan A/S tires it lists 7to8.5" wheels as their recommended wheel widths. You'll be fine, if you have a different Advan check on the site for specifics. FWIW the 225/45 IS the oem size for the 8.5" wheel so it seems strange that there would be a problem there.

My bad!

Just went out and looked. The warning says not to mount on a 19.5 inch rim.

Sorry for the useless post!
