Summer tire suggestions for 19" wheels

Well my wife took the G to work and came back with a flat. It's on the inside sidewall. Not sure how it happened but she did say she felt a bump. It's a fast leak so I'm basically screwed. Luckily the tires are near the end of tread but I was hoping to get one more season.

I'm running M45 Sport rims on my G37x. I currently have bfg sport comp 2's and I hate them. Too loud and I don't care for the tramlining.

I'm considering Conti DW and Mich Pilot SS. I would say road noise is my #1 factor. I don't do much except commute to work.

Should I consider all seasons? I have a set of snows but in MN we can get caught in between seasons....

I'd personally go with summers since you have a winter set...just be cognizant of the temp changes. Summers are pretty much useless below 40deg.
As for the tires, PSS is basically top notch and they're not too noisy imo.
Conti DW/contisport 5p/ S-04 pole are other quality choices...you'll get the most life from the DWs but a softer sidewall...if that matters to you.

I came from the Comp2s straight to the PSS. The first thing i noticed was how much louder the PSS are. The PSS are wearing twice as fast as the Comp2s as well if tread wear is any concern.

But the PSS are worth every penny IMO. Great tire for spririted driving. Excellent grip, especially wet, and firm sidewalls for excellent cornering.

No experience with the DWs....

Stay away from the PSS if noise is a concern. I just fitted them to mine in stock sizes. Road noise is marginally better than the worn re050a. Not as loud on concrete but still plenty loud.

I knew this to some extent going in. Wet/dry handling is great, esp in the corners. Had an opportunity to really put them to the test on a recent roadtrip this weekend. Driving in the rain on windy kentucky backroads was an experience. I didn't rail the corners but didn't slow poke through either. Hit some good downpours in IN too. No oh **** moments.

Maybe consider the pilot a/s 3 plus tire? Not sure how much quieter it is than the pss but should be as an all season tire.

Didn't experience and tramlining at all. Tire size plays a role in this. Mine are 225/245 (front/rear).

Thanks for the feedback. Are Tirerack reviews worthwhile? According to the customer data the PSS and Conti DW are both pretty quiet.

If performance is a main priority and you can tolerate "some" noise, go with PSS but if you're willing to sacrifice some performance for tread wear and noise then DW is a better choice.

Like all reviews, take them with a grain (or ounce) of salt.

I was really expecting much quieter performance based on the reviews. At least the tire sticks and handles well.

Better than some goodyear eagle f1 gs d3 tires I bought years ago based on TR reviews. That tire turned out to be a piece of junk.

Sounds like I may go with the DWs. Performance isn't a huge concern. I like how the bfgs perform but the noise is too much.

I occasionally put the hammer down and take some fast corners. The DW isn't horrible for performance is it?

Honestly I don't think the road noise will be that bad...or even close to enough to outweigh the performance gainzzzz.
However, I do concentrate more on my exhaust tone than wheels sooooo...that may be biased.

It depends. For general commuting I wouldn't give it a second thought. On a road trip, it may be annoying.

@ross7778, what sizes you getting?

The tire guy said my bfgs were worn unevenly and could be contributing to the road noise. I bought them used last year. He also said directional tread tends to be louder.
