OEM Wheel refurbished?

Hey guys I finally got the 10 spoke coupe rims I've been searching for. They are in decent shape with your usually curb rash. My local shop wants $500 to refurbished my wheels back to its original state. which isn't that bad, but I would rather do it myself since the curb rash isn't that heavy and I like to be hands on. I've seen a few videos on the process and i want to know if anyone on here as done it themselves. Also does anyone know where I can buy the hyper silver finish paint from?

It's really not that hard, just take your time as the prep work is the most important part.
Clean with iso/water mix. Let dry. Start with a heavy grit sand paper like 150/200 and get as even in the rash spot as you can. Clean again. Move up to 400. Go over everything to smooth out. Clean. 1000 grit. 1500/2000 grit until smooth as fukk. Clean. Light primer coat. 2000 grit until smooth. clean. 2 more coats of primer. 2000 grit. clean. Then however many base coats you want...4 usually covers well.
As far as color, are you trying to do paint or rattle can or pc or...?

If you're going to DIY the refresh, I'd paint them a new shade as well, something like a gunmetal really looks great on these wheels. Ryne (one of the members here), recommended this~
SteelStik Epoxy Putty Stick | J-B Weld
I've got some work to do on mine too, so I'll be giving that stuff a try.
