I let my son take make G35x to college and soon to work so I am looking for another car, this time a G37x 2010 or newer. I don't really like the 17" wheels most of those have, the ones with 3 close fins for spokes. I don't want an "S" because of the sport seats are too snug for me.
I do however really like the 18" ones I usually see on 2008 and maybe 2009 like the picture below. I figure I could find a car I like then look for some wheels, swap and sell the newer style wheels to recover most of the cost. Do these wheels have a name or style type?
they look like they're from an m35/m45. they have the same style
Maybe but I've just googled 2008 G37 images and found more than a few like the ones below. I may have only seen them on coupes, but would they fit a sedan X as well? I found a place on line selling oem refurbished sets and they had a set with 2 18"x8" and 2 18"x8.5". Is it normal to staggered on coupes? Would they fit a sedan?
Here's an old FS link, they are the base coupe 18s and are not staggered https://www.myg37.com/forums/private...s-sensors.html
These are 18x8 +43
Should be able to find a square set like the ones above pretty easily, might post a WTB (want to buy) thread in the classifieds.
And yes, these will your AWD X just fine.
I think that the standard Nissan bolt pattern has been used across all of the Infiniti models and many Nissan models as well. Even if those were staggered (which I don't think they were), you could just by 4 of the same size. The "Sport Appearance" wheels for that year look really good, but they may be harder to find. They completely transform the personality of the car.

Take a look:
Yeah, those are my favorite Sedan 18s, had them on our 07 G35, they are a 1" stagger though (7.5/8.5), like the current 18" Sport Sedan wheels.
I think you are correct as it applies to those wheels on the 07-08 model years, but in 09-13, they were offered as the "Performance Tire & Wheel Package", which I'm pretty sure used a 7.5 inch wheel all around. I only know this because when I bought my 2013, I wanted them to swap these wheels onto the car I purchased as I did not like the stock sport or journey wheels and desired the ability to rotate tires and get 30% more tire life. Because of the larger brakes on the Sport model, these wheels of course would not work, but on the Journey they were an option (first upgrade I'd do to any Journey, then add the OEM spoiler) If I'm not mistaken, didn't the 07-08 have larger brakes as well (not as large as 09-13, but larger than the base model?). I'm guessing that in 09-13, they simply used the 7.5 version of the wheel all around as it made things simpler.
Question....why does the stock stance on the 07-08 Sport look so much lower than the 09-13? Could the springs be different? Too low and people complained about clearance on 07-08, so on the 09 redesign they compensated? I think the 09 redesign added 100lbs or so, so maybe the added weight caused the change?
You know me, I'm always looking for the undiscovered killer OEM mod.

It's because the 09s went w/ the 7AT, it weighs about 140lbs more than the previous 5AT. My previous lowering springs (B&G S2) were for a 07-08 Sedan and they dropped my 09 G about a 1/2" lower in front than they advertised so that seems in line w/ what the Eibach differences would be.
If you buy an S with a black interior I have a set of journey seats.
You should be able to run the coupe wheels on a sedan with no issue. I run two sets of coupe Rays on my sedan. It's a little more pricey since you have to buy two sets but doable.
I emailed my Son at college a picture of the G37x I am looking and a picture of the wheels I like. I asked him to photoshop them on for me. Quite a smart *** this one...
