OEM 19's don't engage the hub? Am I crazy?

I've got a 2012 G37 coupe with multi-spoke OEM 19's. They all have a very deep bevel on the center hole for the hub. Almost 10 mm. Has anyone else noticed this? Especially those who have bought hub-centric spacers?I searched on this, but couldn't find anything with the search words that I used. This is for those who have the 2012+ OEM 19's.

EDIT: Aha! I finally found a post about this. It was a reference to a reference to a reference on our sister forum, G35driver! So it happens with Ichiba spacers (and others), and the fix is a DIY using copper wire as a "crush ring".

The OEM hubs have a much smaller bevel. This means that the first 10mm of the hubs will not engage the wheel center, since the 10 mm of bevel on the wheels doesn't touch the hubs.

The OEM front hubs stick out about 12 mm, and I can see from the marks that they are just barely engaging the wheels. The rears are a little longer, so there's a better engagement.

So here's the problem, and it's with spacers. The hub-centric spacers I bought have the hub-centric projections sticking out, but only 10 mm. So they don't seem to be touching the wheel hole. That means my wheels are not being centered on the hubs, so I'm NOT hub-centric.

It makes no sense to me that the OEM wheels would have these bevels that don't match the OEM hubs? Am I crazy?
