PSS or A/S 3

So I'm going with Michelins for my back tires (which need replaced, want to replace all four but can't afford it). either 275 or 285/35/19

I want the PSS but am worried about tread life. I don't have a ton of money and don't want to be constantly replacing tires so I'm thinking about the A/S 3's.

So has anyone used both and can compare? I know the PSS will have more grip, but how much more.

And for the people who have had the PSS's how long do they actually last?

Thank you

PSS has more grip. Impossible to quantify how much more. Significant. 25-30K on RWD PSS on the rears.

If you can't afford to change them more often, get the AS3 and call it a day. They're very good tires.

Ya, that's probably what I will do. Just not sure yet, it's only a summer car, put 15,000 miles on last summer and am pissed, I try not to drive it....which I didn't really put not account was I was posting this...so I can probably afford new tires every year or two or three

Maybe the continental Extreme Contact DW or DWS? Anyone have any experience with these?
