Hello All,

Last night I scrapped one of the rims and I am going to DIY. I know the general process is - clean, sand, putty, dry, sand, apply paint. If you guys can share your experience and any tips it would be much appreciated.

Here are some questions I have....

1. Anyone knows the color code for the IPL wheels, is it hypersilver, gunmetal, and where can i get it? I called the dealer but they did'nt have a clue.

2. Should I invest in a Dremel tool for sanding, grinding and polishing or is hand sanding good enough.

3. I looked up on You tube and one guy applied Mother's Power Metal, can I use that as putty?

Not sure i have a IPL vert but whn i bought mine i got some kind of wheel protection that is suppose to cover if i do stuff like that. My last G had scratches from some curb rub but mostly just bad paving and things in the ATL area. most of the subdivisns the pavement doesnt go all the way up to the height of the concrete curb and run off so it can rub. I havnt used it yet but it is suppose to cover it.
