New Wheels rubing on Calipers

Hi Everyone

Sorry if This might sound like a stupid question

I'm wondering if someone can help me please, I have an 08 Infiniti G37S Coupe
I had my car in Storage for the winter I got new rims a few months back and I decided to put the rims on this week a ran into a small problem the front wheels rub against the calipers
I was deciding to use spacers from 5MM maybe to 15mm if I use the 15mm spacer would I have a problem with the wheels rubbing against the fender.

Running
19" rims Offset +38
Rear Vredestein Ultra Sessanta 275 / 40 / 19
Front Vredestein Ultra Sessanta 245 / 35 / 19

any suggestion would be a appreciated

Thanks in advance

Hard to say how much spacer you'll need w/out knowing the wheel and tire sizes you're running. The 5mm spacers may need longer studs to safely thread into your lug nuts so keep that in mind.

^whs. You got the wrong offsets for your wheel. I'm taking it that you have the Akebono sports brakes? See if you could get the wheel specs.

Yes I have Akebono sports brakes, and yes I believe the offset is wrong
the shop that sold them to me said they would fit
I'm trying to get a hold of the guy but he never calls me back

Sounds like they probably got you the wrong offset, I'm surprised a +38 offset won't clear the Akebonos

I'd go to the shop and speak to him in person, it's a lot harder to avoid someone who is right in front of you vs. calling

Yep, just swap the old wheels back on and drive up there.

he might have assumed you had the "non sport" calipers and thats why he recomended those wheels. Differentiating between the two when buying parts is a pain, ask me I just swapped the rotors on my g37s.

I would recomend just measuring how much clearance you need for the calipers and get that the smallest spacer applicable. You shouldn't run into any fender rubbing unless your'e running some really aggresive setup.

I mean if you haven't driven the car since, I don't think it really matters. He did give you the wrong offsets and they don't fit right. He should be able to fix it.

Thanks Guys for your help
I finally spoke with the guy, he doesn't carry these rims anymore
he's going to try and get a hold of the manufacture to seevif he can get new rims

I measured it and tested it yesterday 3-5mm spacer will work perfect

We also need the wheel width to determine if the offset is corrrect or not.

Keep in mind there is a difference between wheel offset and the back cut of the wheel disk (for caliper clearance).

Regardless of the offset though, you have the wrong wheel if it doesn't clear your stock calipers. See if you can exchange them for ones that will clear the factory BBK.

Did the rub screw up your calipers? I'd be furious if it were my Akebonos. Those f^ckers aren't cheap!
