Wheel spacer question

Hi guys,

Maybe I'm just dumb but there's so many choices on these things....

I need 5 mm spacers, long story short the centercaps on my new wheels are hitting the end of the axle and are popping off on both rears..

Currently, the wheels have a hubcentric ring, I guess to make the wheels fit the stock hub properly.
If i buy a 5mm spacer, do i buy it hubcentric to the hub .... and hubcentric to the wheel, with the stock hub size (66.1?)?

Do the spacers that come with my aftermarket wheels then go on top of that hub on the spacer?

If it helps, they are Incurve IC-S5's 10.5 +45 in the rear;

-Thanks in advance

Yes it will be your very best interest to buy a hubcentric spacer. Generally 5mm might be too thin for slip-on style and again it will be your best interest to get longer studs instead of using the stock studs with the spacer.

Basically it will be like this...
Hub -> hubcentric spacer -> hub ring -> wheel -> lug nut

When you say hub ring...isn't this built into the spacer itself?
I guess my question is more of, is the hub on the spacer supposed to directly fit the back of my aftermarket wheels, or should It be stock hub size, and the hub centric wheel ring go over that with the wheels?

Got a question for you~Did you use the hub bore adapters from the start? Just wondering if your center caps are hitting the adapter rings and that's why they won't fit all the way down on the wheel. If that's the case try removing the adapter rings and see if the caps fit, if so try driving without the adapters and see if you have any vibration. A lot of wheels fit nice & true without the adapters (they're just another tool to get the fit and centering tighter), maybe you'll get lucky.

If they do hit the hub without the adapter ring is it possible to shave some off the end of the cap prongs so you'll be able to get it to fit properly? If you have some extra "meat" on those prongs maybe some trimming w/ a dremel would work?

Good Luck!

Used the hubcentric wheel rings from the start, but the center caps do not have prongs. They have a rubber ring in the inside that fits into the wheel and sits inside a lip that stops it from coming out. There's nothing to really shave down.

If you have time you should post pics of the cap, and the inside of the wheel, it'd be nice to find a solution rather than going spacers if you can.
