Arrow Need Help From Wheel Fitment Gurus

First of all, this not really for a G37 Sedan but for a Q50! The reason I am posting here though is I went to SSR and they measured wheel and brake clearance and they said it should be the same as the G37! I wish we had fitment gurus on the Q50 forum but since it is new, there are barely any people and so I would appreciate any input from anyone who can help!

I am trying to basically maximize my lip(thinking of getting SSR SP1s) while still running beefy tires! Hoping to run Hankook V12 245 front and 275 rears! I am still undecided on what size wheels to get though! Its a choice between 19s and 20s so for 19s, I am hoping to run 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 and for 20s, 245/35/20 and 275/30/20! I am still open to suggestions though but want to make ride comfort a priority!

I have BC Coilovers and planning to drop around 1"! Some of the things i am concerned about is rubbing and eating up the fender liner! Rears are basically flat so no fender rolling needed but fronts i think can still be fender rolled but not by much!

Need to clear Akebono Sport Brakes so guys who have knowledge on SSR wheel disks would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance to the people that can help me out! :-)

Fitment will be just like the G Sedans, nothing really changed there. Search in the G sedan section for more fitment options and you can base yours off that.

Yea, kinda figured and been looking at this set up for the 20s

https://www.myg37.com/forums/3319803-post133.html

And Robert_Ks set up for the 19s

https://www.myg37.com/forums/3666608-post177.html

And want to make sure everything will fit and no other modification will be needed!

If there is, what would they be? Removing the fender liner? Some fender pulling? Some negative camber?

You can run RobertKs setup for 20s too, just use the same offsets and tire widths.
I assume the Qs have the same non rolled front fender and rolled rear fender. I'm flush in the rear running 20x10 295/30/20 and have more room in front to allow for the non rolled fender edge running 8.5x20 +40 245/35/20, pics are in my garage for reference.
Docaams G is a bit more aggressive if you're only dropped an inch, your tires will be poking out a bit more than his are w/ his lower drop.

I was actually looking at your set up as well man! Only thing that put me off what the wheel sizes! Gonna need something bigger to get more lip! Hmmmm...by any chance, do u know how your set up would translate in a 9.5 and a 10.5? What woulf be my offset with that and what would be my tire specs to basically come up the same?

10" +45 is equivalent to 10.5" +51
8.5" +40 is equivalent to 9.5" +53

I would probably run the same tire size in the rear and a 275 up front?
This is my opinion based on guessing and calculations lol. I do not actually have experience with these specs and tires fitted.

Ouch! Those offsets are high! Would there even be lip left with those?

Whoa! 275 fronts? Would that be too much?

Might want to check out Natalies G and go from there spec-wise. Hers is a square 10.5" setup and just use that as a baseline. Those high offsets +50 or more may not clear the BBK.
Here's her setup~

Oh yea! That's what vossen has been recommending @ the Q50 forum! Seems like legit fitment but kinda want to see how wheels with lips would look with those specs! I wanna see if its worth getting lipped wheels even though they can only fit high offset! Doccams setup gave me hope!

With a rear 20x10.5 we have ran 275 and 285s on the Q50S. If you want a very flush fit with a 275/30 run a +40 offset. We ran the 20x10.5 +45 and added a 5mm spacer with a 275/30/20 and sat perfect vs the previous 285/30/20 with no spacer.

For the front the +32 is pretty flush but with a 245/35/20 I would personally push it out a bit more with a 5mm spacer sitting at +27 front, anything more and dropped low will start to rub!

Yes those offsets are quite high. I don't think you're going to be able to get huge lips with a 295 tire without a good amount of work.

And I only said that because you wanted to keep similar specs and tire size. You would be going up a whole 1" in width. So a 275/30 would give you a very close look and fit.

Nice nice! Thanks a lot for that info man! That will greatly help! But if I run 9.5 for the front(since u ran 9") what would that translate to and would I have to change tire sizes?

Well, not really huge lips but at least maximize what I have! Dont want to regret in the end that I had more room to spare and just end up using spacers or end up coming out a lot short to the fender! That's how I felt with my previous SSR SP1 set up and fully regret that I didnt get to maximize my lip potential!

**Also, to u guys knowledgeable of SSR wheels, what disk do I need to run to clear Akebonos? HP fronts and SL rears?

I would still personally run a 245/35/20 on a 9.5!

What would the offset change to though?

For every inch you would add +12 offset so to go from a 9 to a 9.5 you would add +6 in offset for the same "flushness".
