18" Sport Wheels - Possible Tire Sizes
18" Sport Wheels - Possible Tire Sizes
I have a 2012 G37 Sedan (non-sport) that was originally equipped with 17" wheels. After upgrading to Akebono BBK and putting on 20's, I sold the old wheels because they no longer clear the brakes.
Since I am about to purchase a used set of 18" wheels from a sport sedan, what possible tire sizes can I run in the front and rear? OEM specs are 225/50/18 in front and 245/45/18 in rear. I am looking for comfort and quietness (which my current setup does not give me).
*My research shows that Hankook V12 don't come in 225/50/18, thats why I am asking about other possible sizes
Thank you.

That 225/50 does limit your tire choices. Unfortunately you really shouldn't go much wider on a 7.5" rim, a 235/50 would be an option w/ a 245/50 rear. If you haven't commited to the wheels yet you might want to look into coupe 19s although 19" tires are the most expensive
Or some 18" Enkei wheels w/ a bit wider setup. I had staggered 18s on my 07 and used 235/50/18s all around because Discount tire had a blowout on that particular size w/ the BFG GForce tires, this setup actually worked out OK.
