Advice on new wheels and tires for g37x
Hi Guys,
I have a black G37X and wanted to upgrade the stock 17x7.5 with 225/55R17 to 18x7.5 wheels with 225/50R18
Here are my questions
-Most of the wheels I've looked into come in the 18x8 configuration. Does the difference between 7.5 and 8 matter?
-I was looking at Enkei tuning Kojin and Raijin and they have 700kg printed on the wheel, which I assume is the weight they are supposed to carry. Is that number close to the stock wheels' number?
-Would my existing TPMS work with the Enkeis/
-The Enkei wheels are themselves lighter (19-21 lbs) than the stock wheels. Would that make a difference to the car's handling in an adverse way?
-Furthermore, any other wheels that you guys recommend in the 18x7.5 setup
Thanks in advance

You could go w/ these and get a bit more tire, like 245 width would work well, and yes I believe the TPMS is compatible w/ most Enkeis.

I don't see an issue using either wheel width. You won't see or feel much difference between the two really. The kg weight on the wheel does reflect the amount of load that wheel can take. 700kg is 1540 lbs, the cars max load is 1222 lbs per wheel so those wheels are plenty into the green load range wise. OE sensors will be fine in both as well. Just make sure you purchase the rebuild kits as once the sensors are transferred the gaskets that seal them are no longer good. Kits are $3 per wheel. A lighter wheel is most noticed under acceleration and during braking. Some can feel a one pound difference, some can't tell a five pound difference. It's mainly subjective and what you're doing with the car.
If interested let me know as we have both available. I have the Raijins on my car and love them.
