Primacy MXM4 - 245/40/R19 94W or 94V

Hi,

I've been recently checking the pricing for 19" tires.
As I live in AB, Canada only all-season tires are worth getting.

I found the Primacy MXM4 245/40/R19 94V for less than $190/ea on Tirerack!

With shipping to Calgary, AB the approx price is $230/ea (plus tax).

The same size 94W on Tirerack costs $322 per tire! (and 10% more if you buy it in AB)

The price of the 94V looks suspiciously low to me! Is there something justifying the $100 gap between the two tires? The W over the V speed rating doesn't really!
To even confuse me a little bit more Michelin.ca rates the 94V tires 90,000km (56,250 miles) while the 94W are "only"rated 70,000km (43,750 miles)

The G37x sedan that I have comes standard with V rated tires, so I am really considering getting 4 of the MXM4 245/40/R19 94V. Any counter-suggestions?

Sounds like the Vs have a harder compound so may sacrifice a bit more dry grip, other than that tire's should be similar. Probably not enough of a difference to justify the price jump. doubt you'll be driving your car close to the Vs max 149 mph speed anyway

Tires will perform the same really. Nothing wrong with the lesser expensive speed rating. You may have a tad better ride from the H, and a little crisper response from the V but the differences are minimal. I would take advantage of the lower cost option.

Mention me online when ordering.
