18" spare on G37 Sport

I noticed that my spare tire is 18", not 19" like what's on the car. Has anyone put a full size spare in their trunk? I wouldn't mine putting the spare on the front, but with the traction control and all on the car, I would assume that it could be a problem.

Spare is what it is...I have the same...its just to get you going till you get the other fixed... but as for fitting a Full size spare...I'm not sure ot would fit without raising the board yet carpet up...that too would put more weight in the back... I'm dropped enough...dont need more weight in the back...

^I guess the best thing to do if you get a flat on a rear tire is to remove a front tire and put the spare in the front. Then take the front tire you removed and put it on the rear.

^ that's for sure. If you have a spare, you should drive like a granny and get to a tire shop ASAP. That is all the spare tire is for. I seen ppl drive for weeks on the spare and they have the wrong idea for that.

^I wouldn't drive for long on a spare. I was only concerned with driving at all with a different size tire on a drive axle.

Glenn...
Driving it on the rear was different...took it slow pulling back out into traffic...but no vibration and such but you can feel the difference hence its just a spare...its designed for front and back...just dont drive state wise...lol home then tire shop pending your time yet $$ for a new tire...
any how...no worries...our cars are well Designed for the spare!! Happy Modding!

no need to change out the spare. I have gotten a flat in the rear before. use your spare and just dont drive aggressively.

I'll post some pictures next week after I wash/wax it. It's platnum graphite. Nothing notable on the car, just the brake upgrade. I'm going to install new pedals next week that I ordered from an online store.
