09 G37x with 245/50r17 ?
09 G37x with 245/50r17 ?
Ok guys, I've been popping in and out for awhile absorbing tidbits of knowledge, but mostly just drooling over everyone's mods. My 09 G37x sedan is my dd for work, so its pretty much stayed stock since new.But at 30k miles the Goodyear RSAs are finally going away.
Been looking at tire options, and found lots of good info here to help out. So here's the question: any reason I can't/shouldn't replace the 225/55r17 stock tires with some 245/50r17 on the same stock rim? Diameter is basically a wash, but it puts a little more rubber on the road.
It narrows the tire options down some, but there's still the Conti Extreme DWS, Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus, G-max, or maybe even the new Bridgestone turanza serenity plus. I'm in South Carolina so concern is mostly with wet weather, with only occasional snow here and northerly trips to contend with.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

That size will work perfectly fine. Most popular option of those is Conti's DWS. The Bridgestone will be longest lasting/best riding as it's more touring based compared to sport based.
