TPMS lit, not sure why

Okay the TPMS (low tire pressure) indicator came on this morning but the pressure's are all the same as when I got the car. They are all at or right next to 32 PSI. I have aftermarket 20" Boss wheels on it and again.....the light has never came on until now....any idea's on wtf is going on? I expect it to not come on later as the temps get higher....but still please help

Did it flash for 30 seconds and then stay lit? Or did it just come on without flashing?

Wait 32? That's kinda low. I have mine at 35 front 36 rear.

Try to put more air to like 34 or 35 and see if it goes away. If not than it could possibly be a bad senor.

Did you reset the TPMS after the install of the wheels?

No, it comes on solid right off the bat....I assume that means there is a malfunction with the system? Not sure how to remedy this......

Ah, I see.....I will fill them a little more and see if that gets rid of it......if not, then that means the sensor has a problem. Thanks!

How exactly do you reset it? It was fine when I got the car about a month ago and the pressure's are still the same so I don't know....

Sounds like a low pressure problem. If you turn on the car and the TPMS light blinks for 30 seconds and then stay on, it is a malfunction.

If you turn on the car and the light stays lit without blinking, it is a low pressure.

Double check your tire pressure. Usually the light doesnt turn on until < 27psi.

Put more air and drive for about 1/2 mile and the light should turn off.

Is there any way to turn off the light without disconnecting it from the OBDII port?

you have to have your old sensors swapped into your new wheels.....which will take the shop dismounting/remounting your tires.

If the shop knows what the are doing there is no need to remove the entire tire to remove the sensor.
