Wheels rubbing after install of 15mm spacers

My current set-uip:

Suspension has not been altered; factory settings.

Wheels:
rear: 20 x 10 TSW Silverstone ET 20 tires: 285/30/20
front: 20 x 8.5 TSW Silverstone ET 40 tires: 255/35/20

I had the local Firestone install the 15mm spacers; gave the car the exact look I was looking for, but driving home hit a minor bump in the road and heard a very hard coming from the right rear. Got to my driveway and as I was driving up, the left rear was rubbing heavily.

Returned to Firestone where we looked at it, but could not find signs as to why it would rub.

Has anyone faced this? if so, what was the resolve? Sounds like I'm taking the spacers off, but I'd really like to keep them. And I was thinking of dropping the car, but now I have my doubts...but I know everyone else has been doing it with no issues.

Thanks.

J.

If you're rubbing now don't bother lowering it bc it will be even worse. You're options are to either roll your fenders or get rid of the spacers

^^Bad advice is bad.

OP, did you search at all? This has been covered at least 100 times. You need to trim the fender liner and shave or bend back the bumper bracket. Possibly lower you car and run a little more negative camber.

+1.... OR, get rid of the spacers.

But I would certainly never roll the fenders.

Listen to Kid. You're probably hearing one of the two things he mentioned, but you won't know until you get the wheel off and take a look.

There are a few ways you can get rid of the rubbing.

Dropping the car could maybe solve his problem. The wheel and tire gets tucked in (cambers) everytime a car is lowered. Now it just depends on how low he wants to drop it. That could get rid of the rubbing issues, along with trimming the fender brackets.

285/30 is on the meaty side for a 10" wide wheel. You can try 275/30.
