These enkeis aren't a cheap wheel. Roughly 2499 a set plus snl and tires. I bought them because I wanted a larger wheel that still retains low weight. I'm not sure what ur suggesting? Enkei race wheels are great imo.

The 18s were off of my 350z, so they were not meant to stay on the g. I could have bought vossens,weds,ssr...but then I would have the same wheels as majority of the community...

$2500? Yikes! What I was alluding to is the rim design seems more focused on being light-weight over appearance. There are tons of rims out there with more visual presence, but they're boat anchors, too. So I was just wondering where your head was at.

No offense intended. Nothing but respect and a little jealousy. I've only had my G for a few months, and intend someday to relegate the OEM 18's to winter use. So I look at threads like this with a lot of interest, because I'll never put a heavier rim on the car, only a lighter one.

Ah. OK.

It's this rim here, right? Enkei Racing GTC01

No offense taken. The issue was really with the stance of the car. With the vehicle being lowered, the 18s were just not filling the fender well enough. And, much like your self, I did not want to put lead weights on. So the common sense thing to me was to buy a wheel that was light and still look good. Or good enough . Yes, that is the wheel.

The GTC01 has dual valve stems. I have to admit, that's the first I've heard of that, although a little googling shows it's been around for a while.

OP, what are your thoughts on the dual-stems? I figure, since you bought the wheels, you gave that design some consideration.

Honestly, in a daily driver like mine, it's a bit overkill. If this was a pure track car with technology to monitor individual tire pressures then I see the necessity of it. It is also used for nitrogen instead of air to purge through one valve the access oxygen left. Also can be used to fill one valve while gauging the other At the same time for correct air pressure.

Those rims look a lot like the 19" Rays, those 20s will look sweet on your G, nice pics of your G too, liking the grill & chin spoiler

Good to see people go for lighter wheels instead of heavy wheels that just look good and slow down the car.

There are various spacers & types, some have studs built in (so you have use the oem studs to mount the spacers and the spacer studs to mount to your wheels), and others have longer studs that you press into your factory hubs. Spacers vary in thickness from as little as 3mm up to 35 mm, maybe even bigger, not sure. In most cases spacers are used to bring the wheels closer to flush with the fender lips, or to bring the wheels out enough to clear bigger brake calipers. It's always preferred to order wheels with the proper offsets so spacers aren't needed but it's a cheap alternative if you need the space but can't justify or afford the cost of new wheels.
