Offset? CV2s?
Guys,
I am a noob to wheels and drops.
I have searched and read numerous threads, I now want some fresh opinions.
What staggered size, offset, and drop do you recommend with CV2s.
Also if I go to 20s is my ride going to be garbage? Are springs going to make my ride garbage?
Talk me into this fellas...

I have cv2s and u should go with Vossens standard offsets in 32/45 w your choice of drop!! Ride will determine Wich suspension u run. Me personally have been through springs and I'm fairly low now on Tanabe coils Wich I'm a big fan of for a superior ride, and the wheels them selves ride excellent. Run this if u want a mild drop!
32/45 245/35/20 285/30/20
Eibach or Swift springs for a simple most comfortable ride.
More aggressive ?
Go Coils with 20/25 offsets and 245/265 tires and go low with your ride. First tell me of you are interested in wide tires and/or low ride! Next are u comfortable spending the extra cash on coils and willing to trim your rear bracket to prevent rubbing? Give me some of your facts on what you think will suit you best do I can assist u.

will i need to perform any other modifications to ensure the car rides smooth?
I will also be adding hotchkis way bars.-side note

Don't mind going wider. (what are pros and cons?)
I don't want it slammed, only a mild drop.
No I don't want to trim or roll fenders. I want it as flush as possible with no mod work.
I just don't want a 4x4

No concerns running 20s! With that budget I would keep cost down and just add springs! Go with 245/35 285/30 and 32/45 w Swift or Eibach springs and enjoy the mild drop w wide comfortable tires. No flaws w 20s but if u go low offsets w smaller tires u will want to invest in a nice set of Coilovers and camber kits and trim rear bracket . U don't have to rol fenders at all , sounds worse then it is trimming bracket but of u want a sick stance it's a must. To avoid all this I'm telling u just go 32/45 245/35 285/30 w springs and be done w it and grab some sway bars and strut bar and enjoy the handling of the G more . That's what I would do. Check out my cv2s I posted a thread I have those exact offsets however I did trim bracket added 5mm spacers F&R With 255/30 and 305/25 tires, but w a mild drop i would not recomend going w these tires! U will wanna fill in the gaps w meatier rubber w a mild drop thats why i say 245/35 and 285/30 and I'm pretty low!! Also added spc F&R camber kits. Cost money to look this pretty lol. U will be ok, btw there is a great thread on Vossen wheel set ups I highly recomend u check out. We post all updates amd have thousands of related topics that will answer all questions u may have.

coils are a must. car will be lowered the way IT SHOULD BE. think of you car as an investment for the long haul. save up some money and get the coils so that all the other modifications are easier to perform.

If you trim your bumper bracket, which is not a big deal you could almost have the best of both worlds. As long as you dont mind spending some change on tires. You shave your bumper bracket, get coils, and go with 20x9 +20 and 20x10.5+25. Get the Toyo T1R's 245/30/20 and 265/30/20. You will be sitting pretty nice. Or do what Diego said and just stick with springs, get +32 +45 with 245/35 and 285/30.(this is the plug and play method)
