Something Different

Cant seem to make a decision on wheels would love to get a set of Volk GT-30 Mercury Silver

http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/5238/dsc0645iu2.jpg

or a set of ICONZ FORGED 880Z Anthracite

http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...10415-2123.jpg

But for now I can only Ball on a budget and kind of leaning toward the Lexani LSS8 Gloss Gunmetal. <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/tD1xQP5pXTCKXmkEh6-T0Q?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-zYUivfmgO8w/TpsqUYT-WpI/AAAAAAAAAxM/85bI7U7qHv8/s640/lexanilss8gm.jpg" height="607" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/107359935033248892383/October162011?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">Octobe r 16, 2011</a></td></tr></table>
Any opinions or if anyone is running these or any Lexani wheels can give any positive or negative opinions would help make this process a little easier. also any help with getting the right offsets would def help. I was thinking +30F +35R looking to get the most aggressive setup without risk of rub or need for camber.

Some Pics of the Car. Just ordered ARK exhaust, and BC Coils, just need to get some wheels before my girlfriend leaves me for lack of attention and money

only bad things i've herd about lexani is that they are probably one of the heaviest rims you can buy. other then that that rim looks cool. i'm running 25 offset in the front and 30 in the back dropped on eibach with no rubbing if that helps. so you can definitely go more aggressive depending on how low you go with your coils.

Thanks for the quick response, Damn weight is kind of an issue for me, do you know heavy compared to Vossens? That seems to be my plan B.

I don't usually push Volk but out of this lot of wheels, the GT30s would look the best IMO.

Check the classified section... you may be able to find the exact wheels you want for an ok price if your timing is right...

Those are mercury silver... but, and I may be wrong, but the link you posted looks to be Formula Silver...

Think he was referring to you wanting GT30 if you weren't on a budget, and then having Vossen as a plan b. Obviously those wheels are popular for a reason though. They look good.

BUT. I like the stock wheels more than those Lexanis. What about just getting some spacers to go with the coilovers for now? Just my input.

So, OP, you are "balling on a budget" currently by spending money on a set of wheels you don't really love while you save up for some wheels that you actually want? Is that right or am I reading this wrong?

Why not just keep the stock wheels (which, in my opinion, are a nicer wheel than the Lexani) while you save up for the Volks or ICONZ that you really want? It seems like you're just buying wheels to buy wheels, no?

Just drop your car and put 20mm spacer on front and rear then you'll see the new look of your car it will make your car look much better than stock, don't forget the camber kit though. After that you can save money to buy something that you really WANT.
