Best tires for performance and handling?

Hey, I have the 2011 G37 Journey. The tires on them now are okay but I hate when i accelerate on turns my tires lose control and the car skids, It loses handling which bothers me

So any ideas?

and if theres anything else you guys would think is best to get rid of the delay in the throttle when you hit the pedal hard. not too expensive but anything for performance, maybe intake? im new to this so i appreciate the help.

1. I don't know where the f*ck you are driving that your car is skidding out on corners, but maybe you should slow down and be mindful of what's around you.
2. Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels has all of the tire reviews you need.
3. The delay in the transmission is inherent and there nothing you can do about, it's just the way it is.

1. Potenza re-11's if yoru skidding on those, then you just drive bad
2. Put it in manual mode no delay there.

Get some racing tires. They won't last very long but they WILL give you great performance and handling.

There is a thread about suspension upgrades written by JEB performance....they would help with that.

I enjoy the occasional loose feeling. It reminds me to respect the power.

Do you have the 17"? A couple of options for the stock size, they are all all-season:

1. Goodyear Eagle GT: good handling, good steering, good traction, stiff sidewall, gets noisy

2. Yoko Avid Envigor: good at everything, less stiff sidewall, less noisy than the Goodyear

3. Michelin Sport AS+: great at everything, quiet, but expensive.

Since he's got a Journey he probably has the Goodyear RSAs, one of the most poorly matched tires for our higher HP motors. Just about any Y or Z rated tire will blow those out of the water. My 09 was so disconnected from the road w/ those tires, I got rid of them w/ my first oil change and have been smiling ever since

They don't come in 225/55/17. I had to first get 18 inch rims. Assume he has a Journey (what I have), he may be riding on 17s.
