Weights on Sport wheels?

Weights on Sport wheels?
Yet another novice question for you guys from yours truly. Never seen this before; it looks like there are weights (?) or something attached to all four of my wheels. Take a look, any thoughts?
^She's right. When they spin balance the wheels, after mounting the tires, it is sometimes necessary to use small weights to get them to balance properly.
