I curbed the hell out of my passenger wheel this morning. I got a company that quoted me $274 per wheel. The driver side takes a lot of weight, so getting that worked out would be good. Then the passenger side of course took some weight, but I damaged the crap out of it.

So, sell my 2 fronts without tires? and buy two fronts used? (which could be in iffy shape)

Or fix these?

What you guys think?

 

Depends, have to take into account the charge for dismounting tires from old, remount on new, re-balance, and also hope that you can sell the two damaged ones... If you can find a buyer for them first, that would be ideal.

I called stealership IN HOPES THAT they can get my wheels repaired, and I can get a loander in the mean time, even if I have to pay for it. Regardless if that bill comes to $500 as well, I don't care. I just can't have my car with no wheels for 3-5 days. That's insane.

I don't have another 'suitable' daily driver.

Someone let me borrow two front wheels. LOL

whatttttt! $274 per wheel!!!!!!! That is retarded..call your local infiniti dealer and ask them for the number of the guy that fixes their wheels on site..should be $100-$125 a wheel and they will come out perfect..I got all of mine done when I bought it

Yeah, that's rediculous! Most dealerships will even sub it out for less than that.

 

At over $500, why not just get all wheels sandblasted and powercoated...?

 

WOW, 275 dollars... thats way to much.... I just had one of my SSR's repaired for 125 at Wheels America, you can defiantly find a better price then what you were quoted

 

lol agreed on the price and for the powdercoating. dont' think that'd fix the rash only hide it some so you'd still have to get the rash fixed.

 

I just went out and bought a dremel set with metal polisher kit. Grind it down to a smooth finish, then use the polish compound for metal and the polisher tip that comes in the kit. It does a descent job with minimal cost. I'm sure it will come in handy in the future as well.

Yup - all of the above then just fill with bondo & determine your final finish with paint or PC & you are all set!

 

Dealers do it for $150-175 per wheel. I know, I have three to do before I return this ****
