soooo as usual i get an idea in my head and obsess about it until its done haha so here it is
wheels off (after fighting with the car and stands)

1st layer

finished the 2nd layer and guess what happened? if you guessed it started to rain your right! so i kicked the audi out of the garage haha

3rd

thought it was a good time to take a pict of the spacers cuz i hadnt before

5 coats later

and boom (tinted today also, overhead light messing with the picts)
i bought the rustoleum gloss black, but i was so impressed with the PD black that i decided to just go with the flat PD black.

and btw a major reason why im not dropping the car is because i have to contend with this driveway. its a LOT steeper than it looks. the audi scrapes all the time, the G is very close to scraping stock.

im glad you followed up on the process. i knew it would look good in the end. how long did it take you ? im looking forward to doing mine as well but with a gloss finish. next up you should do your grill, headlights, and rear valence!

i bought the gloss but didnt put it on haha.
im going to be doing the grill today
. and i would do the headlights if it was easy to get them out. and i dont like the black rear valence look IMO. probably going to tint the rear tail lights in the future too.
very nice!
IMO, the stock 18's split 5 spoke design looks more sportier than the 19" sport wheels.
too bad u can;t drop the car. Would've looked 10x better.
What kind of spacers do u have on?

did the grill thismorning too

From what I have seen Raul knows how to make a vehicle look sharp. I would take his advice.
cards worked great. i found short bursts to work better. my technique which was developed haha was i did the sides of the spokes (which in turn did the face of them too) then did the lip. if there were any parts not covered i just did a quick spray over everything. i was probably 6-12" away depending.
no sanding necessary with PD. if you do sand it it will be harder to take off. just need a clean and dry smooth surface.
