Tpms
Tpms
I don't know if the previous owner of my car got the TPMS re-installed from changing rims/tires or what not, but there are no lights on the dash for it. I checked my tires one day and it was off by 1-3psi but there were no indicators on the dash. Is it because 08' doesn't have TPMS or it's just not installed? I don't really care for the TPMS because I check it manually but I'm curious with my situation that's all.

The tpms light usually goes off when your at around 25-29 psi. You would have to be driving a few miles with that psi before the light will go off. Vice-versa after you fill up your tires with air, you need to drive a few miles before the tpms light on your dash disappears. If you didn't have tpms, then the light should be lit on your dash. That is unless the previous owner cleared the code manually.
Also, the TPMS engages when the car is at or above 15 MPH. it has nothing to do with distance driven. So after you fill your tires, the light will stay on forever if you stay below 15 MPH. you have to get above that for the TPMS to recognize all the pressures are the same and the light to extinguish.
The manual explains all this fairly simply, it's not hard to read it and get the correct info out of it
