Anybody running GT30's + spacers?

I know there's plenty of us here with 20" GT30's... +35 front, +37 rear...

I'm getting tired of my current set up with meaty 255/35 and 285/30 tires and thinking of getting spacers and a little stretch with new tires. Thinking of 15mm for the front and 10mm rear.

Anybody with GT30's running spacers? What size and pics please.

I've got some 15mm spacers all around for my GT30s on the way. Once I get the spacers (taking forever) I'll take some pics and let you know how it looks. I'm running on 245/35 and 275/30 tires, so I'm hoping it'll be good

what type of drop are you running? This determines what size tires & offsets you'll want to run.

with that current setup(I had EXACT same before I sold my GT30's), you can absolutely SLAM the car without ANY problems rubbing at all.

As I mentioned, depending on what you're lowered on, you could easily run 15mm spacers all around with say 245/35's and 275/30's if you're not tucking.

I'm dropped on Eibachs and I'm sticking with them.

I'm actually rubbing in the rears with my 285/30 Yoko S. Drives. (driver side)

I'm thinking of going 245/35 fronts and 265/30 rear...

These photos are before I installed my front SPC arms.

My new wheels won't actually be in until the beginning of April. Car's currently on jack stands w/ no wheels right now. Gotta love living in MN and storing the car for 6 months at a time.....

pix as requested...(same offsets you have 9.5+35 and 10.5+37)

I'm dropped on KW's, not as low as 1cleanG though. Apparently my spacers have run into a delay with shipping . Should have been here last week, have no freaking idea where they are, damn USPS. I'll put pictures up once I get spacers installed.

nope, no spacers. Check out the shot from the rear, its PERFECTLY flush w/ the fender. IMO the +35 and +37 combo that is so common is a PERFECT setup if you run it LOW. With 245/35 and 275/30 you don't have to worry a bit about rubbing. Definitely go with these tires and you'll be just fine.

Also keep in mind that different tires have different tire wall sizes. Example, some have used Hankooks and rub but don't rub with Toyo's or Falkens. I personally won't run anything but T1r's.

gotcha...

Like I said above, I'm already having rubbing issues on the driver side with my 285/30 Yoko S.Drives. Now I'm planning on getting a 10mm or 15mm spacer for the rears, What width tires should I run? 265/30 or 275/30

Should be fine with 275/30s, I'm sticking with my 275/30 once I get my spacers. What's your rear camber at? I'm running -2.6 camber on my rears. I'm not really rubbing now. If I rub with spacers I'll just trim and relocate that bumper bracket.

If you're going to run spacers with the eibach drop at the same offsets, I'd probably suggest getting smaller tires then the 275's with a 265. 275's just barely skim my rear liner withOUT spacers...just BARELY, but i haven't had to do ANY bumper shaving or fenderliner cutting.

So an update. I put on 15mm spacers on the rear. I now know that my left side is slightly lower than my right side. Because I just bent my rear bumper bracket all funny. I either need to run tires smaller than 275, negative camber my wheels some more, or raise my rear height. Or actually I think trimming the bracket should work too.

I'm sorry I couldn't get pictures up but I can tell you that with 15mm in the back that wheels were sticking out all crazy. If you're on Eibachs and you're not running much camber, I'd suggest 10mm instead of 15mm. At first I thought I had enough negative camber, but I guess not. Now I'm starting to wonder if the shop I went to for alignment gave me the right specs or not.

what size tires did you have on as far as thickness? I was thinking of running 15mm spacers in the rear and 20mm in the fronts. Put 265/35/20 rears and 245/35/20 fronts. I wish you had pics of it.

Could it be that your left side is lower because of the driver's weight? I know this is the case with me because 90% of the rubbing happens on the left side.

BTW, I'm not saying you're fat. LOL!

LOL its okay, but im pretty sure my weight made somewhat of a difference. Yeah and my bad I didn't get the pictures, I was in a hurry.

My rears were 275/30/20. I'm pretty sure you can get those spacers to work, as long as you're willing to work with the camber. Ideally I'd probably go 265 to stretch it a little, but I have no intention of buying new tires. My Nexen N3000s has 70% tread life left even though I've put 17k miles on them.

I'm a little busy this week, but next week I plan on having the fender lining trimmed off and the bumper bracket shaved off. I'll see how that works and try the spacers again. I'm hoping to leave my ride height alone and my camber alone too. Don't want to get another alignment.

I'm sure it should work since the wheels should be cambering in during dips and bumps, it shouldn't be hitting the fender itself...unless I'm wrong.
