Keeping Rims Scratch less?

i know there is special solutions you can put on your rims to keep them somewhat protected but does anyone own a pair of rims that they have been driving around awhile with and are still 100 percent scratch less. it just seems even in the good weather its hard to keep them scratch less with rocks on the road ect..

What you don't realize is that wheels are dynamic, but replaceable parts of a car. They're constantly in motion and exposed to rocks, dust, abrasive particles and impacts. There's no "special solutions" that offer anything but a modicum of protection for expensive alloy wheels.

I've got about 16k on my 20s and they're still looking almost as good as new, nothing really noticeable at all. My hood looks 100x worse since our paint sucks

No wheel that is daily driven is going to stay perfect. I wash and wax my wheels religiously to get rid of brake dust, chemicals from road/rain, tar on road, dog **** haha. But you're never going to be fully protected from rocks...gravel kicked up. Its just going to happen. Depending on the roads you drive on will dictate just how much your wheels are going to succumb (SP) to the elements of the road. All of the wheel wax/protectants are mostly to protectant against brake dust, road grime and such. Nothing will protect your car from a flung rock that hits your wheel.

Scratched wheels don't bother me at all. They're made of aluminum, so even if the coating is scratched off, it's not gonna rust anyway.

"Dont let your wife drive the car!"

this+1

My wife's 2011 bmw 128 has 2 nice "shiners" on her passengers side front wheel. She claims "it's a car and these things happen"? I just smile, grit my teeth and say "sure babe"! 20+ years of marriage has taught me to shut my mouth on things I can't win! But I NEVER let her drive MY car-ever!
