Pulled the trigger......

Just bought a set of the 19" Rays alloys. They look mean and totally change the look of the non-sport G37x. The only thing I don't like about the set I bought is that the guy has RE050 tires on them and the rear tires protrude just slightly due to the rim protector. I am told that I have to go to the dealership to get the tpms registered to the sensors.

pic...

Nova,
Those look awesome. Do you mind if I ask how much? How do you like the 50% tint? Does it help much? Can you see into the car from the outside? Reason I ask is I'm in NJ and it's illegal to have any tint on the front driver or passenger windows. I was thinking 50-60% would give a subtle look and keep me off the radar.

Congrats on the new wheels! Personally I don't like the look of Z wheels on a G, but I love seeing unique stuff.

For the TPMS, I would just read the DIY on here for resetting it and save yourself the $80 the dealer will charge

I got them from a guy on a G35 site with Potenza RE050 tires already mounted...

tint: VA law is 35% back window and 50% on the side...I stayed uniform with all windows for a clean look...the 50% looks good on mine because my interior is the black leather...so it's not too dark but still gives a slightly darker look due to the darkness of the inerior...yes, you can see into the car from the outside

Quick question:

The front wheels are a perfect fit...really, they look amazing. The rear wheels/tires stick out about 1/4 inch from the fender. A different tire without the lip protector will help solve the issue

Can the 2010 G37x rear fender be rolled at all?

Could you post some pics of looking down the side or from the top to show how much they stick out? Two fronts would be perfect it seems.

just add some negative camber. or put a 255 tire on the rear.

I also feel that the rears are out a little too far. But I really like those rims. How is the ride quality with the lower profile tires compared to the stock 18's?

mine came with stock 17"...non-sport

ride quality is actually quite good...not rough...more like a BMW type ride...if it weren't for the 1/4" sticking out, I would be 100% satisfied...still trying to see what I can have done about that issue...I don't know if the fenders can be rolled or not...and negative camber would put odd wear on the tires, true?

255/40 would be about 10mm in further. It will be a 1.7% difference in diameter and throw off your spedometer by about 1 mph. The tire would also be more stretched. A drop might also help a little too. So you noticed sharper steering response vs stock? And it is not too bad over pot holes/bumpy roads?

the steering response/handling is alot better than stock...seriously, drives like a different car

the ride is stiffer, not like a tank though...more like you're in tune with the road...you can feel bumps but it doesn't feel like the bumps are causing issues...I steer clear of pot holes so I don't know what they feel like yet (thank god)
