Exclamation Just bought brand new Volk GT-30..question/help

They are black 19x8.5 +36 and 19x10.5 +37

The tires I bought were nitto invo 245/40/19 and 275/40/19

Now The rear has a decent lip, but not the front, pretty much no lip at all outside of the spoke. Is this how it should be or should I be able to have a lip on there? My car is a 2008 G37S coupe.

Also, the front looks really weird with a fat tire. Should i go down to a 35 series tire? Thank you in advance. I just dropped 5 grand between the rims, tires, tpms sensors, rays light weight lug nuts, and mount & balance, and I feel a pain in my stomach because they did not come out the way I expected!

Did I get the correct offsets also btw?

Besides the drop, what should I do to get them to look better? Change the tires to a lower profile and can I get more of a lip?

the nitto tires are known to have a very fat thick sidewall, that's probably why it looks so bulky. maybe you should try 275-35 and 245-35. that should make it look better.

Changing the tires is not going to give you more lip...

Going with a lower offset wheel will get you a larger lip. You can go as wide as 9.5 in the front running 245/35 tires with no problem.

can you exchange your tires? if you can change them for a better look. another thing is wait till you drop your car and see if you like it. once your wheel gap is gone the whole world will be different.

I meant those two statements seperately from each other!

So I can go with a wider rim on the front no issue? I wanna know asap so I can hopefully get them exchanged!

can you give me the exact specs I can go with front and back, offsets and widths?

Hopefully, if not, Ill do it next time I need tires. Live and learn. Atleast theyll be protected till then!

Whats crazy is that I thought I was going with a thinner sidewall when I went from the factory 45 to the nitto 40, but guess not!

you should do 20x10.5 rear and 20x9.5 front wrapped in 285-30 and 245-35
