10.5" rear on a 285 will rub unless you're running over -2 degrees of camber. The fender lining will have to be trimmed and so will the actual bumper bracket. I'm running a fairly subtle rear offset at 39, and I was rubbing at 1.25" drop in the back with -1.8 of camber.

So if someone were dropped less than 1.25" or had a less aggressive offset they may not rub, right?

Possibly, it all depends on the amount of negative camber the person wants to run in the back. -1.8 is the most amount of negative you can go to stay within spec in the rear (-1.2 in the front) otherwise anything more then that is considered aggressive.

so... 245/35or30/ FT, 275/30or25 would be the best tires? I mean without any trimming or something.

Yea, tht's what I have, and zero issues. But I'm going with 255/35 275/35 once these wear out.

With my current set-up, I feel that the front is too stretched, and the rear tire is too thin. So I'm going with wider front, taller rear, even tho the rear might throw the speedometer off just a bit.

OP...

I have 255/35 and 285/30, dropped with Eibachs....

I have rubbing issues on moderate dips and bumps, also when I go up a steep ramp in an angle.

maybe your 285/25 combo will work.

Where are you rubbing at? What width are your rims and do you know the backspacing?

10.5" in back. Same specs as all the GT-30's for the G37.

the edge of the tire rubs on the felt fender liner material. I haven;t trimmed the bracket yet.

with those specs, here are the tires I would get..

245/35 front
275/30 rear

this will keep overall wheel diameter same as stock so your speedometer will still read accurately.

As far as rubbing, it's all dependant on wheel width, offset, negative camber, and tire. I had pretty much the same setup as you with the tire sizes listed above. Ran Toyo T1R's with no rubbing issues. Switched to Nitto NT555 and my rears were rubbing on big dips. I ended up trimming the fender lining and bracket.

Hope this helps.

I'm have Volk GT-7's, not GT-30's with the same offsets as described by OP.

I'm running 255.35R20 front & 275.30R20 rear. I'm dropped on Ebach and have zero clearance issues. My rear tires are pretty stretched being Falken FK452. Next time I think I'll go 285 in the rear.

I have GT-7'S as well with the same offsets. 20x9.5" 35mm up front and 20x10.5" 37mm in the back. With 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 in the rear. I don't really like the way the 245 tire looks on the 9.5" wide wheel. I would really like to try and run a 275/35/20 up front. The 285 looks perfect on the 10.5" wheel. IMO.
