Why not just reuse the TPMS?

Yes there is.

Resetting TPMS DIY
1. Get in your car
2. Go to the dealer

Just bought some volks off a member on the forum. TPMS light came on. Called the dealer and they said it's a free fix that takes about 5 mins. Then they told me they have to first diagnose that as the problem, which costs $115.

I told them why scan when I know that's the problem. They told me that's their policy. $ucks.

That is pretty damn gay. Why would it take 115 to 'diagnose'?

1. Is the TPMS light on? Yes, move to next step
2. Is the air pressure low? No, move to next step
3. Reset TPMS

That's what I said. I'm going to ask if I can just bring the wheels in and have them reset It on the spot. Maybe negotiate a price or something. I'm not betting on it though. Hahah

Went to Americas Tires/Discount Tires because my brother works there. They did it for me for free. I lucked out.
