Had an 07 G35 (rwd) w/ Potenzas, then switched to BFG G-Force KDWS all seasons, very good tire IMO.

We now have an 09 G37 (rwd) and unfortunately it came w/ RS-As, the RS must stand for Really Sh*tty, I can't stand these tires. We now have 4k on our new G and I can't wait to change these treads.I don't feel like I can push this G very hard without getting into trouble, our 07 I could let loose.
The BFGs were far superioer in every catagory~ quieter, much more stable at speed, better tracion in rain, slush/snow. Treadwear was also very good. I wish they made these in more sizes, I'll probably end up w/ some Falkens when I get rid of these crappy RS-As, can't believe they'd put these crappy H rated tires on a 326hp vehicle

Yikes - how did you wind up with H rated ones?!? OEM's (at least on my car and according to Tire Rack) are V rated.

Yup! Luckily I didn't have defective RS-As... but they were still the worst tires in recent memory that I have had on any of my cars. So crappy in fact, I think they turned me off from Goodyear forever.

Don't know how I thought they were H rated, but yeah, they've got the 95 "V" on the sidewall Now they've been upgraded to a real crappy V rated tire

I'm thinking about getting the 2010 G37, don't know what kind of tires are going to come with it, but are there any cars out there that come with "great" tires to start out with? I was always under the impression that new cars came with crappy tires that lasted 10k, and thats about it.

Am I misinformed?

Potenzas that come on the Sport models are a good tire, not much tread life but the stick like glue, at least you can push the G to its limits on those treads (dry roads only of course).

blitzebill, I had the GY GSAs on my M35X.......I hated them. They were noisey
didn't wear well, transferred bumps/jolts directly to car and steering wheel and
were excessively expensive.....went to Bridgestone Pole Positions and was
delighted with huge noise reduction, better traction wet and dry, and they
wore twice as well and evenly. Still an expensive tire, but greatly improved
performance and wear. Dunlop just came out with a performance all season
that comes on the G37X that is getting great reviews from Mercerdes, Acura
Audi, and BMW owners who are putting them on their cars.....GoodLuck

What do you guys think of the Goodyear Eagle GT? It seems to get good reviews on Discount Tire and Tirerack.

the folks in the G8 GT forums love the eagle GT. Nothing but good things to say about it. Good treadwear, okay noise, great handling, great price. And they hate the RSA (stock on the G8) as much as we do.

Put Plus 0 Eagle GT's on my daughters Passat GLX last summer and they absolutely rock. Increased the handling, traction and improved the overall ride exponentially. It's amazing that these things are so much better than the RSA's.

Aggressive tread pattern really works well in the snow here, and wet weather traxn is very good. Keep in mind though...Passat < G37
