Vossen Help Please

So all day has been the worst hassle ever. I bought some Vossen 082s from a user on the forum. i was aware that i would need 3mm spacers on the back. I put the spacers on on the back and the wheel fit fine.

I jacked up my car and moved on to the first front wheel... The wheel totally didnt fit by the time i put the lugs on the wheel wouldnt even spin (While it was jacked up) The seller claims that these are the offsets on the ad:
the fronts are 20x9.0 with a 38 offset
the rears are 20x10.5 with a 45 offset.

The wheel wouldnt fit... without lugs sitting on the the 5 ends will spin and barely touch my brakes. My car is a Sport so i do have the oversized brakes. But still everyone has these and needs nothing on the fronts. Including people in my crew. I know the guy i bought them from had them on a sedan.. What do i do? Im stuck... and getting to the point where im gonna message him for my money back..

Wait, just re-read your post and saw they are from a sedan. Is he POSITIVE those are the right offsets that he told you? You might need to run a spacer to clear the caliper.

just get a spacer , that seems to be the logical thing, as it seems you installed correctly, and it's still touching the caliper. that or ask the person u bought it from why he didnt tell you they would clear the caliper and take it from there, either way, even though it's a hassle, easiest solution given it's barely touching is the spacer unfortunately

here's another person that ran into the same issues as you. https://www.myg37.com/forums/2530321-post68.html

There's your answer Dan, Call up Lou, see if he's got spacers and can handle that for you, I'm sure it's no sweat.

Yeah man some spacers in the front seem like they'd solve the problem. Did you PM Slammed37S? I think he's the one that sold these to Neil.

**Facepalm**

It has NOTHING to do with the offsets, it it's not fitting and hitting the caliper the pad is to small. You will need spacers....

When will people learn offset has nothing to do with brake clearance....

I really appreciate everything guys.. I dunno why he didn't tell me... It really has pissed me off as i ran back and forth today places from 12-8 and got nothing done... I am definately gonna pm him and make sure i get some money back atleast for the cost of the spacers.

I know he machined the inside so it wouldnt stick out on his non S sedan.. so i guess im just going to get 3mm spacers which i hear are impossible to get.. ill be way happy if lou has them in stock as i need to return the wheels im borrowing to a fellow LAG. Thanks again to everyone. i appreciate it.

Also im worried that if i get 3mm spacers for the front, will the front wheels stick out? like all mexican gangster style (everyone, im mexican.. no racism)? or will i be alright?

Thanks again to everyone. i appreciate it.

Danny
