I keep telling everyone that a camber kit is a must with ANY drop, but no one listens to me. lol. I feel like an old man playing his violin over and over again. My tires looked like that after 2 weeks of being dropped without a camber kit. Now that I have it on I'm getting even wear on the rear. The front is a different story.

I'll see if an alignment would do

Camber kit does nothing without an alignment.

With Eibachs you only need a rear camber kit, that will get the toe and camber back in spec on the rears. Fronts can run with neg camber with pretty much no effect, but you need to get an alignment to get the front toe back in spec or else you will eat tires.

alignment is a must right after installing camber kit.. i waited one day after installing my kw for alignment and u couldn't believe how unpredictable the car was driving. every small bump and ur car will serve to the side.. driving too fast (55mph) and ur car will start pulling left and right. and when u change lane, it seems like ure being sucked into the other lane.. hella scary.

alignment is needed whenever u change the height of ur coils as well. It's not worth saving on that $100 at all.

I'm not convinced that a camber kit is needed... My Eibach's have been on for about 3 months now, and I had an alignment done during the install. Then I just had another alignment done at the dealership last week. My wear is still very even to within 1mm inside and out. Without any camber kit or toe arms, they were able to get me back within spec on everything. My rear camber is slightly high at 1.8 on the left and 1.5 on the right, but I believe the factory spec range is 0.5-1.8 anyway.

dang, so a camber kit is needed even though its not that low.

Technically, a camber kit isnt needed, but an alignment is, whether or not you can get the wheels close to spec determine whether or not you need a camber kit.

And you guys realize spacers dont really have any effect on camber, right?

PS- If you keep changing rims and tires every 6 months you wont have that prob

yeah only problem is my fronts are 225 while my rears are 245 (stock setup) so maybe I'll just go with 245's all around with the next change.. (although I'm feeling going 275's at the rear)

I also think that spacers do contribute to the extra negative camber.. since your wheels are now further away from your center of gravity

On a purely geometrical basis, spacers don't affect camber at all. If your camber is 2 degrees before spacers, it'll still be 2 degrees after you install spacers. However, you are correct that the tires are further from the center of gravity, so you will probably notice an increase uneven tire wear. So while spacers don't directly increase negative camber, they do magnify the detrimental effects of negative camber. Does that make sense?

I caint believe thats your rear on eibachs, and they say tanabe drops lower in the rear? Thats basically why im torn between springs, because i dont want to go out by springs, then im going to have to get tires+camber (front rear) and springs that are 225, are going to run me close to 600 bucks with out tires.

If it was going to run me 600$ i would just invest in a used set of BC COILS, that where for sale!!

People wonder why im not droped yet =/

yes tanabe's drop more with the rear (perfect rear drop IMO). Even if you do get a used set of coils for 600 (which I doubt) you'll still need camber & toe arms (especially if you slam her)

Hmmm starting to get a clearer picture.. in other words, if I want uniform wear, I need even lower alignment specs with respect to camber than those OEM?
