oem tires

Bought my wife a G37x sedan to replace our 02 A-6 2.7T sport Saturday. Awaiting transportation from Michigan to Illinois ( SB/graphite/wood/prem/nav) due to color combo unavaibilty locally.

Any ideas what tire brand/brands could come on this car ? Having run on a few different all seasons due to our wonderful Midwest weather, I have found significant differences in tires. Most OEM tires aren,t great but some are way worse than others. Hopefully Infiniti has chose wisely (not like BMW). They sure did not make many slipups w the G, hopefully they did not skimp on rubber.

Excited she chose this car over the Lexus (pig w/ lipstick) but I did not influence her in any way (she has put up w/ alot of car BS with me over the years. so this was her call. (smart girl..whew)

If you have the money, I would highly recommend you to run summer and winter sets of wheels/tires.
The OE Eagle RSA's are okay dry and in rainy weather, but absolutely horrible in snow. Check out Tirerack's rating of the Eagle RSA's and you will read that they are absolutely terrible. From personal experience, they are terrible too in snow (I too live in the snow belt). Next winter, IMO, get some Blizzaks.

it was the traction. From a stop on ice and snow the michelins had all kinds as well as when on the hi way and giving it a bit of gas. With the blizzacks i don't feel as safe they deffinatly to not grip as well. It is so bad that I will not run next winter with them. If they don't sell I don't care zI am still going back to michelins. The wife noticed the same thing with the car she used to drive the old one to work all the time in the winter. (130km each way) now she only takes the maxima which is running michelin XI2's which we still don't like as much as the pilot alpins. This did really surprise me because i always heard good things about blizzacks but hearing and feeling are 2 different things I guess.

they are a bit more expensive but worth it in my opinion. As well you don't completly loose the prefomance tire fell when the roads are clear.

I read the Tire Rack reviews. Not too promising. I have used Pireli P Zero Nero m/s and Birdegestone RE960as and found them both to be very good all seasons. (slight nod to Bridgestone)

Since we are about to end snow season soon, I will probably see what happens next year and likely dump the Goodyears if they are that bad in snow.

My guy at Tire Rack also speaks very highly of the Sumitomos (dunlop design) and they are very inexpensive. Kumho has some high rated tires, too. Never tried em.

I though michelin pilots don't last that long, they are really soft compare to the blitzzard, and waste away faster?

check out the Bridgestones ( if all seasons are your choice). I have em on my MINI and they seem to hold up well. I drive that car hard, too.
