More wear on outside

I have 4,000 miles on the Potenzas... and just took them off and put on winter wheels. I was surprised to see uneven wear on all four tires, with the outside wearin more than the inside. It is pretty significant... does anyone else have this problem?

Outside wear = positive camber, which is rare because I believe our cars come with slight negative camber. (citation needed)

Yeah, outside wear is not typical. What pressure are you running?

I have had the car for about 3 weeks. It had 32 PSI when i got it so I assume that is what the previous owner was running. The car is not dropped... that may lead to inside wearing I think...

I have brand new tires on winter so I am guessing that I better get it in for an alignment right away. It just seems strange to me that all 4 tires had the same problem... and to the same extent.

Thanks for the replies guys!

outside wear may result from lots of hard cornering by the previous owner.

Low tire pressure would result in the outside of the tires wearing. Too much pressure would cause the middle of the tires to wear.

I keep mine inflated at around 45. I would try adding more air when summer rolls around again.

Wow... 45 PSI... that seems pretty high for a car tire. Is that what you guys are running in the Potenzas? If the tires were underinflated wouldn't both inside and outside be worn?

ya seriously, 35 psi is what normal people run. have you checked your alignment specs yet?

lol mine wore heavy on the inside because of my drop. My fronts are fine and wearing evenly though. I still have stock fronts at 18k and they look great. Vredsteins on the rear and they're sick
