Same size tire question?

Does anybody know if there would be a problem with putting the tire size on the back also on the front? I've read where others have used these on the front with no problems and I wondered if this is true and then I could rotate my tires.

Shouldn't be a problem.

Do you mean buying two 9.5" wheels for the front, so you can rotate front to rear? I no get it......

I presumed he meant buying 4 same sized tires and breaking down all 4 wheels to swap the tires around each time he rotates.

I had a brain freeze, and completely forgot that the wheels are staggered on the S and the wheel widths are different. 8.5" in front and 9" in back. So, no, I wouldn't rotate your tires. The fronts can run the 245/40/19. The rears, in case your interested, could run 275/35/19. The non-sport does in fact have the same width wheels (8") front and back, and the same size tires (225/50/18).

Sorry for the misinformation

Clear as mud!!

To help clear things up I meant mounting the tire size of the back tires onto the front wheels. This way the same tire size would be all the way around even if the wheel size is smaller on the front.
Should this be a problem?

Even if you could keep the tire the same on both wheels you will be rotating and operating the wider wheel to the front and the narrower wheel to the rear. That makes no sense. Sorry.

on the stockies, still could not rotate your rear to the front and vice versa. the rear is 9 inch while the front is 8.5 inch.

I think you're still missing wht he's trying to do. See post #5.

I believe that you want to keep all the wheels in their normal position and when it's time to rotate, swap the tires off of each wheel and move them around, correct? In other words, you want to rotate tires weels not wheels. This is what I do on my old Maxima because I have staggered fitment 350Z wheels and wanted to be able to rotate tires too. It will work just fine, but you won't get free rotation from the place you buy the tires because they'll have to break down each wheel/tire each time you take it in for rotation. I usually pay about $20.

I think he meant getting all four tire the same size (245/40/19) and everytime he rotates he has to break it down. I believe its OK

OK, I see. I don't have experience breaking down tires to rotate the rubber around. Most of my tires have been rotation specific and were not able to be rotated like that.

Yes, That's it.

I meant tires all the same and breaking the tires off the rims every rotation.

That shouldn't be an issue...right.

As I said in my earlier post, it will cost you a few bucks, but it does work just fine.
