is TPMS required?

GOnna switch to winter rims is the TPMS required for my new set of rims? and how much do they cost any links provided for a cheap one will do thanks.

tpms are required only for auto manufacturers 2008 and newer. this does not mean you have to have them on your wheels. they run around $100-$150 each. you can find them on ebay for less, or you can just run without them. the only thing is that your pressure warning light will be on all the time.

o ya so its NOT required right? which is fine with me only for the winter time im gonna put on some beaters and summer back to the stocks alright then thanks =)
