20 inch wheels concern

A mechanic told me at a dealership that putting 20 in wheels on your car or anything bigger then the stock ones takes the "smooth ride" you had away and it becomes more bumpy, is that true? I know this would be an easy question for people because alot of people on here have 20s.

Thanks.

He's partially right... You do tend to feel more of the bumps but it's not like your ride goes from smooth to ****ty. The difference I felt going from the stock 19s to 20s with low profile tires was minimal. The benefit I like from it is the car feels more planted due to wider tires that most people are using when going with 20s.

Nope... I personally didn't notice the difference going from the 19s to the 20s. If you were on 18s you may notice it a bit more.

Its really the low profile tires that are need to make 20's both fit and look good that comprimises the ride but its really only a small price to pay to be a baller.
