Stolen Over Night

Hey guys/girls. Wasn't going to post this but if I can help anybobody else in this situation. Went to bed around 1:00 a.m and at 5:00 a.m my husband went out to go to work and saw that all 4 tires and rims were stolen off the car. The car was in my driveway. F**king thiefs came basically right up to the front door as I park my car all the way up in my driveway. The even brought there own bricks with them to put the car on when they were done. I was totally shocked to see this. I couldn't believe it. Called the police and made a report for my insurance company and they tell me that they get calls everyday day in reference to this. I have owned new cars before and never, never had this happened to me before.
So in the mean time I call the dealer to find out how much to replace the tires and rims, they came back with a number of $4,700. And to boot if I want to replace the stock rims and tires, they have to be ordered. Don't have them in stock. I am still in shock over this whole ordeal. I don't know if anybody has had this done to them, but if you have I feel your pain. Anybody else ever been in this situation.

That really sucks. And if I remember correctly, you already had paid to replace a stock wheel because it got curbed right? I had theives try it on my '95 maxima when it was new but they couldn't easily get my wheels off. 2 days later they stole the stockers off of the chic's Acura legend who parked next to me. Very sorry for your loss. Did you have wheel locks?

Wow. Sorry to hear about that. I haven't had anything happen to my car since it's garaged all the time, but i've had stuff happen to my friend and my dad.

My friend's car was broken into when it was parked in front of his house and his stereo was stolen.

My dad's was just weird. It turned out that some bum was braking into his old van and sleeping in there during the night and would leave in the day. It was funny but scary at the same time.

Yup, you are correct on that, already replaced one rim. And had the wheel locks on, don't know how they got them off. They even left the lugs nuts on the floor, didn't bother to take them. Bastards.....

I wish I had a garage to park in. What also amazes me, is that there isn't even a scratch on my car. Nothing at all.

get the money from insurance, order a set of aftermarket wheels. Also you can buy stock set for much cheaper then that on the forums. Sucks that it happened, but insurance covers it then such is life. I would be devastated it happened to me but not much you can do about it.

I think I am the only one who likes the stock rims here. lol. The dealer told me that the rims have a sensor on them to tell you when the tires are low. So that adds on more money and then the center caps, that add more money. It's ridiclous.

wow, sorry to hear about this...did u buy the wheel locks from an auto parts store or did the dealer put them on? when u get the next set of rims, put 2 or 3 different wheel locks on each tire. hopefully that'll keep those bastards from coming back again
