Experience with Volks

I am thinking about getting a set of Volks, but I live in San Jose, and we have the worst roads in the nation. There are potholes all over the place...so for those of you who have had experience with volks, how easily are they bent? and how high maintenance are they?

Hmm I believe they are composite so they will bend if you hit them hard enough which is repairable but a PITA.

PM Sharif@Forged... He can fill you in on all those details and get you a good deal if that's what you decide going with.

I believe that with any forged rim, only the center part is forged. So any of the brand names (Volks, IForged, DPEs, HREs, etc), the outer piece can bend depending on the size of the pothole.

VOLK wheels are as strong as they get...given their construction. The MonoBlocks are nearly indestructable. The GT series wheels are quite strong as well. I have yet to have a customer call me and say that a pothole has damaged their rim...yet.

The only ones that call for replacements, where involved in accidents, or curbed their wheels.

sorry but Volk Racing 2pc (GT & SF Series) are cast center and Forged outter so they will withstand a lot more abuse.

I don't think anything out there is that strong, if the wheels don't give your shock or chassis will. But either way I have see worst
