How much will these slow the car down!!!

Hey guys i'm thinking about picking up some wheels and tires soon for my ride. I have a couple questions for you guys. I'm still considering the 19's vs 20's. How much will 20's slow the car down. 20X9,20X10.5". Also since my car is lowered 2 inches in the front and 1.5 inches in the rear will I have a problem with rubbing. Any input suggestions you have let me know. I'm looking at axis wheels because it's what I can afford. Thanks a lot

The 20x9 fronts weigh 28lbs a piece and the rear 20x10.5 weigh 29 lbs a piece. The factory weigh 52.8 lbs with tires on the front and 55.2lbs with tires on the rear. So these should be about the same since I will be running lower profile tires. Do you know if these will rub or not? How is your setup?

ahh, i think thats too low for 20's, 2 inches ? it depends if the tires right now is sitting flush with your fenders or not. i say get 20's, who cares if you car will slow down a little, it will not even be noticeable...what difference does 19' and 20' make?...not that much of a differences...

Well my wheels and tires are not sitting flush right now because they have negative camber. I have my rear camber kit to correct it and make my camber back to stock specs. Well I have the H&R springs and it sits low. I really like these wheels and think they would look incredible. The rear has a 4 1/2" lip it looks sick. Those huge polished lips should look insane on a VR car. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Giggaplease when are you getting your wheels and tires? I take it your going to be running 20's? Those works are incredible wheels, so are those sevas wheels too so good luck making a decision.

if i do get sevas, someone has to buy my stock rims first, then i can order the seavs. if i get works, i have to wait like 2 months..i do not want to wait for the custom offset...but they are a two piece and the sevas are one piece and the sevas are known for cracking and stuff. i really do not know which should i go with. you should go ask some of the vendors around here, they know way more than i do..sharif sounds like he knows what he is doing, ask him. 4 1/2 lip is big, i like my lips small, around 3 in the rear and 2 in the front.

u wont rub rear IF offset is proper. i don't knwo why so many people post rims with no offsets, no wheel type. some 20's can be 40lbs some can be 80. you have to give all info if you want a true answer. or search the forums. i think there is tons an tons of info on this board. i know 20x10.5 with proper offset will not rub. what style u looking at?

with the h&r springs you may rub in the rear unless you dial in some camber...

i say this because you say the wheels have a 4.5" lip, so i'm guessing the offsets are pretty aggressive.. unless the wheel style allows it because the spokes curve back in like the guy with the black sevas wheels

mine are 20x10 in the rear, +30 offset, and have about a 3.5" lip, and i think i'd be fine with the h&r springs and a 275 tire. a 285 tire may rub that fender lining in the rear.. which could be fixed

and my wheels weigh about 20 lbs each

anyway.. tell us exactly which wheels you're looking at, and find out the offsets..

best thing to do would probably call the company that makes the wheels you're looking at and talk to them though

19s vs 20s is something that I have ran thru my mind alot latley...

19s = faster acceleration, more expensive tires, smaller appeal

20s= Slower accelerarion, Less expensive tires, Nicer exterior appeal

any other opinions on the +s and -s?
