Look forward to the pics. At this point, I'm going to just chance the rest of winter. I have my BMW with snows until 2/8 and I travel a lot for work. Can work from home if I need to. I think I want the F10s and I hate to spend extra money on nice rims for snow tires. I was going to buy the SSR 19s on closeout for 149 until I realized they were 9.5 inches wide and the only 19 inch Blizzak is a 225 width. Anyway, just babbling...

Plenty of clearance:

Not horrible looking:

The 18's look like shopping cart tires on there!

My 18" Blizzaks are virtually the identical profile as my 20" KD Dub Yahs-

Speedometer error of about .2 mph tracking 10 satellites.

They fill up the wheel well on my FX just as the 20's do.

Did you ask TireRack whether these would fit (because of brake clearance) before you bought them?

Yes when you click on snow tire wheel packages they list a bunch of 18" options that fit.

I have not had much snow to speak of but we had some pretty serious ice last night and these tires perform great. I stopped on one of the worst hills I could find that was covered in ice and it just spun a bit, then right up! I am more confident in the cold weather handling with this car, than my AWD Audi with all seasons!

I have 19'' Blizzaks on mine right now and they aren't as good as I expected. On my 04/06 G35s I had 17'' Dunlop M3 and those things were claws. I actually got stuck on the freeway last week in about 2'' of snow cuz I was sliding off the road at 5mph. I was stuck on shoulder for 30 min trying to get moving, but kept sliding off the road due to the incline. Not what I had hoped for when dishing out $1300 on snow wheel/tire setup.

What part of Metro Detroit did you get stuck? Oh ... that was last week with all the freezing rain, right? I just hope the 18" Volks I have on my current car will fit (I have spacers for the front) so I can use them in the winter on the G37S... easier to sell used tires for cheap than to sell a tire package for my car. Would lose too much on the rims, so I might as well keep 'em and get snows.
