Thumbs up rims

Can anyone point me in the right direction for some dark/gun metal rims. Anything and everything I need to know about them? Construction, weight, material, size......etc?

One of the main reason why I picked PG over OB is because I ultimately wanted darker/gun metal wheels on them

Your question is too broad. Most wheel companies have gun metal color in their wheel designs.

I think you should first determine your budget and then go from there...

19" rims can go from anywhere around $250 a piece to $2,000 a piece based on its construction type (one piece or multi-piece), material (type of alloys) used, and the manufacturing process (forged, casted, rolled, etc.) involved. Of course, the "brand name" factor should be included also. The "finish" of the rim can vary the cost of identical rims by a lot as well.

Your gonna want low weight rims for performance. My old alti, i bought the nismos, which were rebranded gram lights. Unbelievable rims. 18 x 8.5 that weighed 17.6 pounds. I think generally speaking if you can try to keep it around 1 lb per inch (i .e. 18" = 18 lbs or less) your gold....

I don't really have a budget right now because I'm willing to dish out more for quality over time and the fact that I don't really know much about rims to establish a reasonable budget for myself. Maybe 500 a piece seems decent?

Any place I can start?

I see. I'm not really set on any price yet. Just trying to find out what's available and narrow things down. Not sure what to look for to fit the G (calipers, dimensions...etc)

Yea..... I'm actually done looking through all the links haha.

I'm looking for black or gun metal 5 spokes, possibly 6. My G is platinum graphite, not really sure if gun metal would look good (too similar to the paint?) but black would be a safe bet I think.

From what I gathered, here's the dimension for the G37, correct me if I'm wrong
front: 19x8.5 offset +43mm
rear: 19x9.5 offset +45mm

It seems all the forged wheels cost around 1k

You are looking @ a $4,000 investment just for rims.
Keep in mind tires are going to cost you almost another $1,000.
Not to mention special (or multiple wheel lock sets) for another $300.
On top of all those, you better have comprehensive/additional coverage on your auto insurance which can add another $200 to your annual premium if you want to insure < $5,000 worth of added parts.

So, at least $5,000 INITIALLY...
@_@

Then you will probably want to lower the car to complete the look ---> $$$ camber kit, coil-over system /or springs+shock combo $$$ --> looking at another $1,000 to $2,000 investment. Then you will want cross-drilled and/or slotted rotors, sway bars, tight bars, strut bars, etc... and you haven't even touch the engine or car body yet...

So you see, the mods come one after another... (speaking from personal experience, you will NEVER STOP)

I am not trying to discourage you from getting rims but make sure you have a plan, then work towards it so you won't end up wasting $$$. Unless you've got cash to burn then we are talking about something else =)
