Max offset for G37 6MT Sport & Journey w/ Sport

I've seen people getting 34+ and around in that area for their offsets, what's the MAX offset you can go with this new brake setup?

I ask because we need a concrete measurement for future reference, possibly sticky'd up too.

I've been trying to nail this down too since I am selling the wheels on my sedan. I'm guessing that the 07 sedan and 08 coupe are pretty close this time instead if the disparity in earlier years.

There will not be single offset that one can call MAX so a table will be needed. It has to do with wheel width, tire width, and whether or not the car is lowered as well. The problem is there is no data yet.

Yeah, a chart would be awesome. But does the 07 Sedan have the same brakes (sport versions) than the G37 does?

I see your sedan, and fall in love with it man! that's a good picture!

They have different brakes. As you know, the G37 essentially has big brakes and the S-10 wheels I have are made for big brakes. I currently have StopTechs on my car.

Getting the correct BBK back cut on the face should be no problem for "premium" wheel manufacturers.

There is only one lowered G37S that I have data on right now, but I think the coupe should still take more than what is used on the sedan.

Thanks!

ordered my wheels yesterday 20x8.5 & 20x10.. they told me my offsets were 30 on both the front and rear, with a 2.5" lip in the front and 3.5" in the rear..

i'll have to talk to them again today to make sure they've got the right thing

Since they recommended the offsets ... they bear the risk if they do not fit. If the offset for the rear is really +30, that might mean there is more room on the inside. I'd be tempted to try for 295 on a 10.5" wheel. Looking forward to the pics!

I'm more likely to believe a +39. That's why I was a little surprised to hear +30 was what they recommended offset for a 10" wheel. I guess it may work if the tires were stretched with camber.

How wide are your HREs gonna be?

Hard to tell, but with solo's 11" wide wheels, his offset will have to be greater than +50 for sure ... assuming the suspension clearance is close to the 07 sedan.

A 10" with a +30 offset will stick out of the 07 sedan maybe about 5mm if the camber is in spec. So I guess the question really should be "how close is the G37 suspension to the 07 sedan suspension?" If it's the same ... we've got the G37 already figured out.

As for the website .. I checked it out. They are ultra conservative saying that the widest tire the 07 sedan can take is a 255 on a 9" wheel. The recommended width tire on a 9" is 265. And I know for sure the 07 sedan can take a 285 on a 10" given the right offset.

That website shows fitment for a 2008 G35 Coupe which obviously does not exist. They may be assuming the stock coupe offsets did not change from previous years.

Solo's 11" wide wheels would normally take a 305 tire!

No matter how it plays out .. you guys are doing some pretty cutting edge fitments! Just be sure to post up pictures so the rest of us can learn!

Yea, I didn't look at their "recommended" crap, i just use the tire size comparison and compared mine to his. Compared to stock, it says that mine with a 275 tire and his with a 295 tire would both stick out further 1.2"

Who knows though... We'll see. Just ordered tires today, took advantage of the $100 off at discount tire direct

Just waiting on tein now I guess.

.. And my car!!
