Yes. My only complaint is the car has some glue type substance on the back. And there is some tiny white paint spots on the rubber by the window. But they said they can fix that Monday when I come back for some thing else.

Hm interesting, South Bay Infiniti was actually the one who tried to jack me up with the rates and pricing.....But I'm glad it worked out for you.

That is interesting. I told them about my experience with the Costa Mesa. They were shocked, then said they are sister dealers and owed/operated by the same company. I didn't give them a chance to screw with me. I told them I had VPP, got $X for my trade, 3.9% APR as my offer at Costa Mesa and I wanted the exact same here for the car they had...And they gave that to me.

To be honest, I think most dealers want to take advantage of you...its just how little or how much they try. Its all about the money.

You are a manager at an Infiniti dealer? And you don't think VPP is out?

If so, I don't know where you get your info because VPP is out. Well, according to the VPP website it is. So I'm sure its out. Hmmmmm...and I used my VPP claim number yesterday on my new G37!!!!

No offense, but I'm sure glade I didn't try buying from your dealership.

ohseedee: if I may ask, how much discount did you get using VPP? Just curious.

I am planning to buy G37 next week in SoCal and still trying to find out what the market is out there with no VPP -- I am not eligible for VPP.

Well I got VPP and I don't know the exact number right now, but I it was in the ball park of around $3,500 off MSRP. It comes out to a few hundred over invoice.

As far as the market without VPP, I don't think its good. When I was buying mine an older couple was discussing the G37 with another sales guy. Later the lady came up to me and asked if they negotiated with me at all. She said they refused to budge on sticker price. They later left without the car.

I know you don't have VPP, but try to see if you can get close to the same discount. Its worth a shot. Just be patient and wait until you get the best deal. The deals are only going to get better with time. Good luck.

Well I dealt very little with the people at south bay. I basically told them my numbers the second I walked in and made no negotiation. I waited at a desk not really talking with anyone for over an hour until it was time to sign everything. I wouldn't necessarily say i recommend them, but everything worked out for my specific situation. I'm actually going back there today after work for some windshield protector/warranty thing and maybe get the car detailed (they didn't do a good job when I bought it).
