G37 Vs 911

wow i can't believe it. off the line power is amazing in teh G. I did go up against a porsche for a few seconds and he either is a Bad driver, im a good driver, he didn't launch fully (siounded like he did) or something but the G was all over him. I don't know what specific model Porsche it was but damn, go GGGGG!!!
They are pretty close, 5.3 vs 5.1

MotorTrend did a test a long time ago between the 350z the 911 carrera the M3 and the Z06 and the only car that pulled a better lap time than the 350z was the Z06 so its completely believable... although that is the 996 not a 997 so i'm pretty sure things would change a little bit.

Yes it is filmed in taiwan. They did it for the launch of the car. The two drivers are prob the most famous drivers here, one races in the JGTC series and the other races in Asian Cup series. It dosent look fast and intense because the camara man is not quite as good as the BM series. I was there that they as a guest and they are going pretty flat out. They had some celebraties and models driving after words too.
The circuit is called "Long Tan" speedway, its a very small, tight track which made the G37 look really quick compare to the posche.. The 911 was a little more sure footed at times cause its lower but overall i will say the two are comparable. The 911 seems to step out too easily in small corners.
Btw, because of the import tax structure here, the G37 cost about 60K USD here while the porsche costs over 130K USD so there is really no comparsion to start out with except to show the G's incredible value.
