Orange Electronics TPMS
Hey everyone!
Got a little product recommendation for all of you but first my story: I was in the market for some TPMS's recently for my new wheels and I was looking at getting the OEM Nissan sensors but after getting price quote after price quote from different vendors and dealers I couldn't quite get myself to spend that kind of money on them especially after I found out that after I get them installed on the wheels I was still going to get a low tire pressure warning light until I go to the dealer and have the car reprogrammed to read the new sensors?? The worst part about this is what the dealers typically charge for this service. It was anywhere from $50.00 to $150.00 for the service. Yikes!
At this point I was ready to just deal with driving around with no TPMS and just learn to live with the LTP warning light being on all the time. So I guess no TPMS's for my new wheels but then, while surfing the web one night, I discovered this great new product, You guys back east with 2 sets of wheels for Summer and Winter are going to love this, from Orange Electronics. They have a new series of TPMS sensors that they call an OPSS sensor. This particular type of sensor can be cloned to match your stock OEM TPMS's at a fraction of the cost!
I bought my set on ebay from DP Accessories and I had them in my hands in a couple of days. After I received them I emailed Orange Electronics and asked them for a list of distributors in my area that has bought their cloning tool. Lisa at Orange Electronics then referred me to Chris from A&R Tires in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. I called Chris told him what I needed done, asked him how much he would charge to clone the sensors and he said "just drive up here and I'll take care of you." Hhmm, well lets see...I'm in Los Angeles and he's in the IE...what's he going to charge? what to do??? So I took my chances and drove 45 minutes to see him.
This cloning stuff was new to him, as it was for me, and I directed him to the Orange Electronics website so he could watch the video to see how it is done...5 minutes later we walked out to the car and in less than 2 minutes I drove off with my sensors cloned to my OEM ones and at no charge! This guy Chris is super cool. For all you guys in the IE he's on Foothill Blvd.
Okay so at this point I still wasn't sure if they were going to work or not until I got my wheels mounted on my car. Wheels get mounted and I drive off and guess what guys? NO WARNING LIGHT!!!
These sensors are awesome and inexpensive. I paid $40 a pop for them including shipping. So now I can swap wheels when ever I want and I will not be getting a LTP warning light either. I highly recommend these but remember they have to be the OPSS type.
Orange Electronics also sells the T30 programming tool for those of you interested.
The Model # for the 2010 models (others should be the same) is SC3081 OPSS

I'm interested in these, your SC3081's come up as a Mitsubushi part. Emailed Lisa see how it goes. Did you scan each tire individually then clone or scan one then clone all the sensors? Thanks for the help

Hey ZOSTER turns out my sensors were not programmed properly. Went back and the shop I went to was not able to program through the rim. He was able read the old sensors off the stock rims but not program to the new.
When you went to get yours programed were the sensors already mounted to the rim... Don't think these clowns know how to operate the programmer.
