The dealership performed a TSB for the bluetooth in my G and my question is if anyone else has had this done. The small LED in the headliner/mic area is no longer lite up and they say it "no longer" comes with it. Not to sure if this is true or not. Any insight?

 

That's BS!!

I had all the updates done for the NAV, including BT, and iPhone TSBs. That little light has nothing to do with it.

 

Can you explain the TSB for the BT mic and what models it affects and if it truly helps? People usually (but not always) have a hard time hearing or understanding me when I use the BT on my 08 coupe.

 

It's a TSB for 2010+ navigation systems only. It calls for the update of navigation firmware as well as the replacement of the microphone module. However, I do not know whether the new microphone includes an LED light.

 

From my understanding, they replaced the mic and the audio should be clearer to those on the call. Some say they can hear me better, others say there isnt a diff. I found the TSBs here: Infiniti G37 Technical Support Bullitins

I think the dealer is BSing me about the LED light no longer being included on the New Finisher. Can anyone confirm?

 

I recall reading elsewhere on here that this is primarily an issue with iphones. Those with android having a problem too?

While my vehicle falls into the list of affect ones, I don't use the handsfree BT function often, and so far no one's complained about difficulty in hearing me. Rather not open up a can of worms if not needed. I use an evo 4g lte (android) with sprint.

 

Damn I wish this could fix the intermittent poor BT sound quality on my 08.

 

Ive used Galaxy S3, Note 2, and now Nexus 4....

 

You need to save your money and stick with a phone adrien.....you have mods to buy ya know

I am honestly disappointed in the level of service I received from the dealer.. Shocker right.. When I asked, I got the "ughhhh" kinda response. I will be calling them tomorrow. But does anyone work for Infiniti that can honestly confirm if the LED is actually there or is removed with the TSB? Thanks guys

When I told my dealer about this problem, he told me I had to leave my phone here to test it out. I told him about the TSB on it and he just ignored me.
